Personalised Therapy Services - Face to Face or Online
Since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2012, I have provided a wide range of mental health support services. I now specialise in providing brief therapies that help you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your difficulties, encourage you to use your existing skills, resources and support networks, and adopt new attitudes and approaches to facing life's challenges. I am able to blend a range of different therapies to provide you with a tailor-made, bespoke therapy experience.

Single Session Therapy
One thing at a time
Single Session Therapy is a quick access treatment designed to be available right when you need it. It’s a dynamic, extended single session of psychological help.
We work together on a specific problem or goal in a focussed way. I provide you with extra support before and after your session to help you get the most out of it.
How we use the therapy time is guided by your needs, but for most people this approach is used to discover a way forward with a problem they currently feel ‘stuck’ with.
It is designed for people who are ready to take action to resolve their problem right now.

8 Sessions of Therapy + Follow-up
Focussed help
This approach is particularly helpful when you are experiencing difficulties in your relationships (including how you feel about yourself), if you keep finding yourself getting stuck in the same old problems time after time, you're struggling with your mood, or not sure how to 'undo' bad habits you've fallen into.
Our aim is to quickly identify any unhelpful patterns that keep the problem (or problems) going. Together we 'map' these patterns out to help you to clearly understand the problem/s, identify the exits and develop new, more helpful ways to move forward.

Following the eight therapy sessions you will have a chance to go away and practice what you have learned before coming back for a follow-up appointment to let me know how you have been getting on. This gives us an opportunity to make any final 'tweaks' to your plan.

Individualised Psychotherapy

A bespoke psychological therapy individually designed to meet your needs.

If your difficulties are complex, long term, you've tried lots of things before, or you struggle with developing trusting relationships we may need to spend some getting to know one another so that we can agree on a plan that suits you.

If you are interested in a bespoke therapy option I recommend you commit to attending three sessions. This allows us time to see if we make a good team. It gives me the opportunity to make a full psychological assessment, and for us to reach a shared understanding of the difficulties you face and how we might best approach them. From there we can discuss a treatment plan so that you can decide if you want to continue our work together.
After the assessment, we will decide how long we expect to work together for. This may mean we agree a specific number of sessions, or have regular review points to check your progress. I believe this helps people to move forward and make the changes they hope for.
After the work of therapy is completed, I typically offer people the opportunity to attend up to four follow-up appointments. This is a chance for you to practice using your new skills independently whilst still having a safety net in place. At follow up we can review how things have been going and check on your progress.
Sometimes people who have worked with me before choose to have a few ‘top-up’ sessions at a later date to help them stay on track.
